In the future, road traffic shall be made more safe and efficient through intercommunication of road users (Car2X). For instance, cars will be equipped with wireless LAN hardware to communicate between each other and roadside stations.

Novel driver assistance systems will be build upon this exchange of information. In order to develop such functionality even faster and test prototypes very early, those systems will be evaluated using virtual test drives in a simulated environment.

In this thesis, a framework for the simulation of the Car2X communication shall be designed and implemented. The focus here among other things is the coupling of different simulators.
